“I am Alpha Duane.” The Alpha informed Sebastian. “Your mate has been safe here.” Eva nodded in agreement. “He's right. After everything, I felt so lost and alone,” she said.
Sebastian's expression softened at Eva's words, a pang of guilt flickering in his eyes. "I'm sorry, Eva," he said, his voice filled with regret. "I never meant to cause you pain or worry. The darkness tried to claim me, tried to pull me away from you. But I fought back, for you, for us."
Eva reached out a hand to cup his cheek, her touch gentle and reassuring. "I know, Sebastian. I know you would never leave me willingly," she said, her voice filled with understanding and love. "I'm just grateful you're here now, that we're together again. That's all that matters."
