First date

The week leading to our date/ Den's birthday dragged on slowly. Adrian had surprised me already by agreeing to come along, with me to the movies.  It was supposed to be part of a routine Denis and I carried out every year since we were five. I got to choose a movie we would watch at the movies at the end of every birthday of his, he got to choose the movie for mine. Through our years together there had been years when we were not excited enough to celebrate our birthdays but that tradition of watching the movies together stuck. Adrian had agreed to let me go despite the constant security threats, with the obvious condition of course. He had to be there. This time though, I was not remotely complaining.  It was our first real date since we got married.  Adrian had further surprised me when I got the news from Chelsea the next day that she was getting a more discreet body gaurd. A sniper ordered to shoot on sight the closest thing to danger that approached her. Adrian still had his men watching and following her like a hawk, but she was more comfortable now because they did it from a considerable distance.  The only problem that was now left unresolved was my dear brother-in-law and friend who I had not seen or spoken to in more than a week. I was going to fix that though.  Adrian had given me access to his phone recently after he went on a picture spree. The man demanded that I sent all my pictures to his phone just because when he felt like he was having a terribly tough day my eyes would always give him strength. I would have found it cheesy if he did not say it in such a serious tone that both scared me and made me squirm. Thankfully though, that encounter made it possible for me guise as him and send Anders a text to meet in the kitchen in an hour.  I had no doubt Marie would be in the kitchen and all I had to do was wait for Adrian to come out of the shower and leave for his meeting with some guy named Mauricio.  "You'll be good while I'm gone right?" he asked, holding my face in his arms.  "Promise," I pushed myself higher and kissed the bulge in his neck. "will you be long?" I asked, fluttering my eyes seductively at him.  "I am already long," she c****d his brows suggestively, "and big and heavy, and if you keep kissing me like that I will be hard too."  "I was asking if you would take long, pervert." I giggled getting to my knees on the bed.  "I cannot stay too long," he gave a wide grin, "I have a date with my kitten tonight,"  The way he said it made my stomach flutter and I felt light shivers rippling through me until my s*x clenched. He made a loose fist around my neck, capturing my lips in his and drawing out a soft moan from me when he bit down on my lips. "I'll see you tonight," he promised, but instead of leaving, he deepened the kiss, coaxing my mouth in his, until we were near breathless.  Suddenly I no longer wanted him to leave. Sadly, he smoothed my hair, pushing loose strands away from my face, and straightened. "I should leave."  I was down in the kitchen in less than five minutes after he left. Marie was in the pantry picking out a few ingredients for Mom's special morning soup and thankfully, she did not see me walk in and take a seat across the counter.  After saying a small greeting to Chessa, she excused herself to the garden to pick out some fresh vegetables, and almost immediately after, Anders walked in. Everything was going so well.  I flashed him a smile, one he returned reluctantly, before making a beeline for the fridge for some milk. "You're a hard man to find when you want to be," I noted with a hint of amusement to lighten the air.  "Your husband keeps giving me a s**t load of work to do," he forced a chuckle. "I apologize," he said, flashing me a charming smile and I was suddenly reminded that he and Adrian were really brothers.  "Or maybe you are just avoiding me," I did not bother to beat around the bush. Marie walked out of the pantry, holding a few boxes and a pack of frozen foods balanced on the boxes. "I didn't know you were both here," she said not bothering to hide her displeasure at the fact, though I was almost certain most of that was thrown at Anderson, who was fighting hard to focus on the glass of milk in his hand and not Marie.  "Hey Marie," I gave her a smile too and stood up to help her out, "let me get that for you,"  "Thanks," she said, letting me take some load off her. "are you hungry?"  "I am," I answered honestly, "but that's not why I'm here," "Oh," she feigned ignirance. "Do you need me to make something for you sir?" she turned to Anderson with a scowl.  "Stop it, Marie," he said with deadly calmness, "do not sully our relationship," "That's a hard choice, seeing as it's already f*****g sullied." she flashed him a rueful smile and turned to the fridge.  "Where the hell is Adrain," he asked no one in particular, eyes fixed on his watch. "I am in no mood for tantrums right now."  "Tantrums," she barked a sarcastic laugh and slammed some strawberries on the counter.  "What the hell is wrong with both of you?" I asked looking between them as they exchanged unsaid words.   "Your dear brother-in-law would have all of the answers. I'm sure his skills go beyond just ignoring me," she took out the strawberries, drawing out a knife carelessly and almost giving herself a cut. Almost instinctively, Anders was on his feet ready to reach for her but held back as he saw she was fine.  "Ignoring you?" he threw his hands up in the air in bewilderment, "you asked for space, and I was only doing as you asked,"  "Well I changed my mind, and I was only speaking out of all the frustration building inside me." she was fighting the tears that welled in her eyes, "I did not mean you should go almost two weeks without so much as looking at me," she yelled the last part, and I hoped no one was deciding to walk past the kitchen so early.  "You broke up with me," he said in a measured tone. His throat slid like he was trying to swallow the next words that threatened to come out, but that was the only sign of hurt he let surface.  "Because I was not thinking clearly," she admitted, giving him an icy glare.  "What do you want Marie," he frowned.  "Nothing," she said simply and walked past me to wash the strawberries. "I want nothing from you," "I cannot f*****g deal with this right now," he gulped the rest of his drink hurriedly and turned to leave, "tell Adrian I'll see him in his office later." "Adrian did not call you here," I admitted, hoping that would make him stop. It worked—temporarily. "I did." He opened his mouth to say something, but thought better of it and pressed his lips into a thin firm line. With a hardened expression, he said, "enjoy the rest of your day," and continued walking. He paused and looked over his shoulder, his eyes were focused on Marie, and he added, "two of you," before storming out. Marie broke down into tears the moment we were alone. I rushed to her side and wrapped her hands around her comfortingly, "hey, it's okay. He's just upset, he will come around."  "No, it was my f**k up, he won't come around." she sobbed, leaning her head on my shoulder, "every time I feel someone knows about us I got crazy and frantically break up with him. He's probably tired of my s**t now."  "Don't say that," I brushed her hair softly, "Anderson clearly loves you."  "I know. He's only keeping me—us a secret because he wants to protect me. I know that but still, it's just so hard to remain his secret when all I want to do is scream to the world that I love him." "Have you tried telling Mom, she does not seem so bad," I suggested.  She chuckled humorlessly, "she'll kill me if she found out. Anderso would be pardoned but his mother would not rest until she knows I'm dead if she ever found out."  "Mom does not look so bad," I argued, remembering how easily she accepted me into her family.  "Don't be fooled by her facade, there's a reason she's the mother of one of the most ruthless men in Chicago and the wife of one of the deadliest men in the country,"  "My lips are sealed, but if you need me to talk to Adrian I'm available," I offered, "I hate that you and Anders have to go through so much. "Don't," she said quickly, straightening to wipe her tears, "if you want to help you can do that by keeping us a secret, they will ruin what we have if they find out," she pleaded with tear-filled eyes.  "If I was going to tell anyone, I had more than a week to do so," I took her hands, holding it assuredly, "I am on your side, but you would not need someone else to ruin what you have if you do not trust him enough to make the right decisions. He's hurting from all this too."  "I know," she nodded, "I'll try to fix that today."  "Try?" I c****d my brows.  "I mean I'll go and fix that right after I make breakfast," she wiped her eyes with a small laugh. "I'm glad that we don't have to but you off to keep you quiet,"  "Says who?" I chuckled and popped a berry in my mouth, "I would have a very tasty breakfast of some toasted English muffin and lots of cream cheese please, that should be a good enough bribe."  *** *** *** "Do you have to take those with you?" I gestured to the gun hoisted behind Adrain as we walked to the car waiting outside.  "It's a night trip," he explained, "I need to be able to defend myself and more importantly you when something comes up." "But two seems a little too much," I pressed as we stepped into the moonlight. The glitters on my dress made me sparkle, drawing Adrian's attention to me. When I had taken out this dress before, he had suggested that it would bring too much attention to us, but he quickly changed his mind when he saw how easily the free dress made it to reach between my thighs.  "It's four," he corrected, holding my hips from behind.  "That makes me feel so much better," I said drily, resisting the sudden urge to roll my eyes.  It took six heavily armed men to bring us to the location of the private viewing house where Adrain had booked for the night for our movie night. I wanted to tell him that it was not necessary to have a whole private booking just for a three-hour movie, but the thought died on my lips as the room came into view.  "Wow," I breathed, taking in the gold designs and large heavy velvet couches—beds actually— in the room. My eyes traveled higher, looking up at the tray ceiling and recessed lighting that dimmed every 10 seconds. The couches were arranged around a large bed in a movie theatre arrangement, only it looked more sophisticated. And there were more snacks than I would have dreamt of having at a regular theatre which was only a few blocks away.  "Do you like it?" Adrian asked, watching me closely, with his heavily tattooed arm still wrapped across my waist.  "I love it and I think Den would go crazy if he saw it," I reached out for my phone to take a picture, but he placed a hand over mine, "you just have fun tonight, I already made sure your dear best friend gets to see every moment of your movie tonight." he did nothing to hide his dislike for Denis.  "Don't be jealous of Denis," I chuckled, "I really love him."  His jaw ticked and he shoved a hand in his pocket, leading us forward. "The movie will be starting soon."
