I lean back in my chair and laugh. The sound echoes through my office, bouncing off the stone walls of Silverpeak's main building. My beta, Garrett, stands before me with the scroll in his hands, waiting for my orders.
"So Kael Stone has marked himself a new Luna," I say, still chuckling. "And not just any Luna. The one his own son threw away like garbage."
Garrett nods. "The reports are confirmed, Alpha. Aria Blackwood is now mated to Kael. The whole pack saw it happen."
I stand and walk to the window. Below me, the Silverpeak territory stretches out in all directions. Strong wolves train in the yards. Warriors patrol the borders. This is what real power looks like. Not like that joke of a pack called Moonridge.
