I could see that Kye was determined for something.
He had been unable to leave me alone the second he retrieved me, and even then, I could see that he had a lot of things in mind. Now, it looked like he had made a decision. The way he ushered me to the edge of the bed, with him kneeling before me seemed terrifying to me.
“Kye,” I called, wanting to go down to his level but his hand stopped me. From what it looked like, he was doing everything he could not meet my eyes—but he wanted to make sure that I was here. The way his hand was holding mine speaks that he was anxious about everything.
