CHAPTER FIFTY-FOUR KYLE’S POV I knew a day would come and one of us would break. Even after she’d hung up, all I could do was stare at my phone for almost ten minutes, processing everything. At least I’d been honest. I couldn’t drag her down a path of uncertainty. She didn’t deserve any of it. But if Tristan hurts her in any way, I was going to kill him without hesitation. Finally snapping out of it, I resumed marking the students assignments, while trying to keep my thoughts together. That didn’t seem to work out and neither did a round of smoking. Before I knew it, I found myself in my car, heading to rehab. Dad looked better now and even the smile on his face when he saw me, looked genuine. “They are feeding you right, huh?” I questioned, smiling. I was here almost every two weeks.
