CHAPTER FORTY SIX KYLE’S POV I glanced at my phone for the seventh time in the past one hour. No call. No return text. What did I expect anyway? That I would run out of town without a goodbye and she’d come running after me? Almost two weeks since I left and still there was no attempt to contact me. I’d sent more than just multiple texts to her and still, I heard nothing. All my calls went unanswered. I took a long draft of smoke, the ends of the cigarette flickering with life for some mere seconds and my eyes already accustomed to the darkness in my room. I hadn’t bothered to turn on the lights.
