We both had a bag packed and were already off on our travels. We drove through the forest past many familiar faces, everyone smiled and waved as we passed them. It was only about forty minutes of driving the smooth roads until we hit these bumpy back roads.
"I apologies about the road, but it's just so peaceful here. I don't want to disturb the animals here by paving the road." He explained as he accelerated over another mound in the road forcing me from side to side in my seat.
"Thank the heavens we are in the right truck, a normal car would never make it down this way." I could see the dips in the road ahead. "It might be fun on my bike though." I joked.
"I'd rather not be scraping you up from the road thankyou. Road kill is not pleasant." he laughed. "We are here anyway." I l
