Alessandro had already left for work later that morning without much of a word, just a grunted goodbye and the slam of the front door. Rose was used to it by now. His moods were his own, unpredictable like stormy seas, and today she wasn't about to dive into those depths. Instead, she got dressed quickly. A crisp beige blouse tucked neatly into high waisted jeans that hugged her figure, her makeup light but enhancing. She tied her curls back into a soft puff and added gold hoops before calling a cab. Today was important, a booked shoot at the studio, and she wasn’t going to be late. The cab arrived and whisked her away through the early morning bustle of the city. Her heart beat a little faster than usual. Maybe it was nerves. Maybe it was just the thrill of doing something for herself,
