When Alpha Barrett entered the kitchen, Madison and Titus were hugging. His sister was watching with a huge smile on her face. He raised a brow as Cory pushed past him.
“What’s going on in here?” the beta asked. When Titus and Madison parted, the alpha noticed that Madison had been crying. She sniffled and quickly wiped her wet cheeks.
“Alpha, Beta,” Madison nodded.
“Well, there’s dinner,” Raelyn said, pointing to a few brown bags on the counter. “I’m off. Scott is taking me out to dinner, and I have to get ready.”
She hugged Titus before giving Madison’s shoulder a reassuring squeeze. Then she hugged the alpha. “Be nice,” she warned, patting his chest before leaving.
