"Actually, the best choice for you to take back then would've been to tell him to leave and come back with the police instead of risking his life to rescue you," I commented with a smile. "Both you and the boy would've been in danger had the kidnappers heard the commotion."
"Now that I think about it, that might have been the case." Amber nodded in agreement.
"However, I was just eight years old back then and could not think that clearly. It was already pretty impressive that he was courageous enough to rescue me."
"I don't know whether we were lucky or if the kidnappers had let their guards down because they had chosen a remote location as their hideout, but he managed to successfully bring me out of that dark cellar."
