Sara’s POV
With Nathaniel gone, the atmosphere suddenly becomes tense. The last time the three of us were together was at my bonding ceremony. I didn’t see any of them after Victor showed up and Levi took me upstairs.
Kai takes a seat in the living room. Christian goes to the window and looks outside. I go to him.
“Do you know anywhere Levi could be?”
He keeps his eyes trained outside as he replies. “How would I know?”
“You two are close.”
Kai rises from his seat and walks to the refrigerator. He opens the door and peers inside. When he emerges, he has a beer in hand. Nathaniel reappears. He has ditched the oversize suit and is now wearing black jeans and a matching t-shirt.
