“Did you say the right words?” Kai asks, since it’s obvious to everyone that my words had no effect on either of us.
“Yes,” I tell him. “They are the same words I said to Victor, and they worked right away. It was so painful that I blanked out right after!”
Levi shoves a hand in his hair and laughs. “Good one. You guys really got me. Are you all done now? Can we get back to the party? The guests must be wondering where we are.”
Kai arches an eyebrow. “Jeez, he still thinks we are pranking him.”
“Try it on Kai,” Christian says.
“How about you do it?” Levi suggests. Going by his tone, he really does think we are pulling his leg.
“What?” Christian asks.
“Maybe she couldn’t break the bond because she is an Omega. Maybe your words will work, Mr Alpha.”
“Ian won’t let me.”
