Sara’s POV
I’ve been anxious about the ceremony all week. I was afraid of screwing up in some way, but turns out there wasn’t much opportunity for that.
The bonding ritual takes less than ten minutes. The priestess dictates everything Levi and I have to do or say–and the best thing is that it’s just the two of us in the shrine.
Once the ritual is over, the priestess introduces us to the crowd and we walk out of the makeshift shrine. The ceremony is taking place in the huge backyard of the Foxes’ house. It’s huge enough to accommodate almost a hundred guests without looking overcrowded.
Levi’s parents are the first to meet us outside the shrine. Levi’s father’s name is Richard, and he looks every bit as regal as his mate. He is blue-eyed too, but dark-haired.
