All I wanted to do was sleep but I couldn’t shut my mind off. It was now dark and after two long days, my body couldn’t take it any longer. Blair was laying on her bed staring at her black orb with doubt and wariness in her eyes, she couldn’t sleep either. “He’s fine, I’m sure,” I whispered after a couple of minutes.
My partner didn’t say anything but from the corner of my eye I saw her put the orb back under her bed, it was never too far from her reach. “I know, but now that everything is changing, I just hope he can be able to come back. Did you tell Elder Monique about him?” she asked quickly, desperation clear in her eyes.
I shook my head, “I didn’t, you should be the one to tell her since he’s your father.” Blair nodded and let out a sigh of relief.
“Thank you,” she whispered
