Dakota’s POV I had watched Daxton sleep for a most of the night, m back aching as I remained hunched over in the plastic chair beside his bed. I fought as long as I could before the need to find Declan became too much. I stood up quietly, not wanting to wake my brother, and slipped out of the door. I made my way along the corridor, trying to find a nurse or doctor that I could ask about Declan but the whole area seemed to be deserted. Turning a corner at the end, I found a row of curtains, walking slowly, I stopped at each one, listening to the quiet voices on the other side to see if I could hear Declan’s distinctive voice.
