Losing hope
Grace felt happier since she could spend more time with her father. She slowly understood her father’s plan, and finally she knew why Alastair and Lennox left.
But this knowledge also made her feel guilty. If she knew why the two young Betas had to leave home and live like homeless rogues, she would have asked Saoirse about their kind. She knew Saoirse could answer her question, and she was sure she could have found an explanation for her father how come she knew that much about the outside world.
Besides that, Grace did not like to think about Saoirse. Each time she came into her mind, she missed her more. She counted the days and looked forward to seeing her again.
