She broke free from Alastair’s grip and left hurriedly. Alastair did not know that, but Grace was truly hurt to see his expression when she said that. She knew as her mate he was eager to know she was safe, but he forgot that as his mate, Grace felt the same, and as she was his Alpha, so he had to do what she said.
