“Trouble? What for?” I blurted, staring up at Ace as he continued to stalk towards me.
I had never seen him like this…so serious and intense. The way he seemed to double in size just from the way he loomed above me had my body trembling with anticipation.
“Oh, I can think of a few things, Princess. Sneaking around, not being truthful and trying to dodge me.” He began, his hand reaching out as he pulled on one of my curls before letting it go and making it bounce.
“I wasn’t trying to dodge you.” I scoffed, which wasn’t a good idea apparently. One of Ace’s eyebrows rose accusingly, and his head tilted to the side like he was challenging me.
“Fine, I might’ve been dodging you a little bit, but it wasn’t anything serious. I just wanted to talk to Cassidy.”
