I open the door to find Coline holding up a box smiling at me. “I brought breakfast. For your bodyguard too if he wants to come in.” I look out at Travis, the very large ex-Marine who has been our shadow the last few days.
“Travis you hungry?” He nods smiling. I beckon him to come in. This apartment in Ellis’s building is much larger than my apartment with Laurel. Kevin is already at the table having some juice while I was having trouble getting motivated enough to make breakfast.
“Mr. Trav! Coline!” Kevin hops up and goes to hug both. I watch Travis lift him up high as Kevin giggles. He’s already penetrated that guy’s stoic armor. He sneaks in to play video games with Kevin when Mary is here watching him. She’ll be here in two hours. Coline is going to watch him until she shows
