“Laurel, I had my doubts when you came in, but you proved me wrong. The blood test confirms you are pregnant. Not far along though. Maybe 6 weeks tops. You must have had a sixth sense. I have to say I didn’t think I would be seeing you so soon after our last visit to start this process.”
I give her a wry grin. “Neither did I. Here I am though. My husband is an overachiever, what can I say.” Dr. Wright laughs.
“Judging from how he was at your last appointment, he is going to be thrilled.”
“Only a little. He may rent a plane with a banner to announce it.” I watch her consider that for a second.
“It might be slightly too early for a sonogram. I'd rather wait and show you during your next visit. We’ll see you in two weeks and then again four weeks
