Gabriella stared at them giving them a weak smile, the sooner this breakfast was over the better. She stared down at the food before her, trying to gather her thoughts and steady her breathing. The food looked exquisite, a spread worthy of royalty with delicate pastries, vibrant fruits, and steaming dishes that filled the room with enticing aromas. But her appetite was absent, overshadowed by the tension and the presence of so many unknowns at the table.
