Chapter Thirty-Five.
Leon walked into the tiny living quarters at the rear of the bar, to find Safron laid on the sofa, Fluffy some how had positioned itself alongside her, the dogs head reasting on her shoulder, but staring at the door. The soldier blinked, it was the first time he had seen Safron laying down fully, and he couldn’t help but wonder if it was her trust in him, or the effect of the service dog which had caused her to lay down, rather than sleep sitting up. Truth be told Leon didn’t care which it was, he was just grateful that his charge looked at peace. The soldier found he was unable to tear his eyes away from Safron’s sleeping body.
