Chapter Nineteen. Safron let out another harrowed cry of fear, which echoed around the motel room. It was so loud, that she woke herself up. The blankets had twisted around her legs, and in the haze of the trauma, her brain had just relived, she felt as though someone was pinning her down once more, holding her in place as they inflicted horrors on her body. She began to violently thrash, desperately attempting to escape. The flimsy chair rocked back and forth, the arm, so loose, it looked as though it would break free from the frame at any given moment. “It is okay, you are safe. It is just the blankets.” Leon’s soft voice attempted to reassure the terrified woman. He would remove the covers, but he didn’t want to risk touching her and making the whole situation even more unbearable
