“Stay.”
My heart thundered and my skin tingled at that command. Not only was I not expecting it, but the raw dominance of his tone was captivating and there was no way I could deny him. That and I didn’t want to. He could demand anything of me with that husky voice and I’d surrender willingly.
I had no clear plan when I followed him into the Divinity Pool. He had been keeping his distance from me for the last two days and I should have respected that. I had been trying until I saw him striding out of the palace alone and towards the beautiful, secluded building which only the most royal members of our pack had access to. It was as if my body was drawn to him like a magnet. I just couldn't stay away, no matter how sensible the distance might be.
