Standing on my bedroom balcony overlooking the landscape, I leaned my chin in my hand as my elbow rested on the porcelain ledge and frowned in confusion. A swarm of warriors were dispersing from the training grounds and heading in all different directions. It was very unusual as there were never that many warriors training at one time. I huffed dramatically to myself, wishing I had the freedom to just leave the confines of my room to go and find out what had happened. Not that it would be any use. No one would look me in the eye or give me an honest answer if I did. They’d stutter and mumble over their words, falling to their knees out of respect.
