He opens his eyes, blinking then a couple of times then focuses on me.
David “Charlie? What happened?”
I jump up nearly jumping on top of him, grabbing his gorgeous face in my two hands and kissing him all over his face.
David “Okay, I’m okay.”
Charlie “But you weren’t you i***t!!”
She smacks my shoulder when I try and sit up.
David “Hey!”
Thomas “Hey bud, good to see you awake. Now if all of you will please excuse me.”
Thomas makes a quick exit and I look his way.
Charlie “I’ll be right back.”
I shouted over my shoulder at David running after Thomas.
Charlie “Thomas, Thomas!”
He turns around looking at me with sadness in his eyes.
Charlie “I’m sorry for what I said before. I was wrong and thank you for finding the cure.”
