As time went on, everyone’s lives started falling into place. Esmeralda and Iris were getting bigger with each week that passed. They were due around the same time, even though Iris had a month's head start on Esmeralda.
Kit told them that she thinks it is because Esmeralda is of alpha blood and Miguel is a royal alpha lycan hybrid, that the pregnancy could be as short as three months. Even though a normal alpha pregnancy, even for lycans, is usually about four to five months.
Iris seems to be following the four to five months, and they believe it is because her mate is of royal beta blood. Even if they are only thoughts, Iris and Esmeralda were excited that their children would practically grow up together. They thought it would make them the best of friends just like their parents.
