I couldn’t fall back to sleep after Liam left. I tried, but after a dream like that, sleeping was no longer an option, so I laid in bed staring at the familiar walls, reminiscing about the past and the last thing I said to my parents. When 9 o’clock hit, I practically ran out that door. I believe the last words I said to my parents were “Goodbye,” not I love you, or “I’ll see you later, but “goodbye.” Why did I have to say that? Maybe if I would have said, see you later or I’ll be back later, they would still be alive, waiting for me. I gently shook my head as an attempted to push those thoughts out of it. Even if I would have said any of that, it wouldn’t have changed the outcome, because they were running from a world I just learned about.
