A few hours after talking to my aunt who I now knew was my sister, I found myself back in that room with the woman who had been identified as my mother. It was hard to accept the fact that the woman who raised me and took care of me my entire life was not my real mother but my sister. While I’ll admit that there were some instances where she’d act more like a sister to me than a mother, I just thought it was her way of trying to be my friend and mother.
