I sat on the porch watching our men train for a war I wasn’t sure I wanted to be apart of anymore. All my life I had trained for the day that we would get rid of the Fae because of the threat that they supposedly were to our people and way of life, now I wasn’t so sure. Sure there was a fraction of them trying to destroy us for some unknown reason, but not everyone was like that, especially Neffi. If anything she was the innocent victim in all of this, and yet everyone there was gong ho on getting rid of her. Well not everyone, I could honestly say that no one in my family wanted to cause any harm to the girl, including my father who had been indifferent about her from the beginning.
