I laid in bed staring up at the ceiling, allowing my mind to wander. That entire day had been full of surprises. First with Neffi showing up, her not knowing who I was but still accepting me, then with this attack on our people at the warehouse, and finally with this power that I could still feel surging through me, and it wasn’t just me. Both Lara and Dom could feel it too, and while it was just a feeling for me and Dom, Lara actually manifested the power in front of us.
“I thought I’d find you here,” Dom said. I looked over and saw him standing in my doorway with his arms crossed and head down. I could tell he wanted to say something but didn’t know how.
“This is my room,” I reminded him, before turning my head back to the ceiling.
