The flight to China from Egypt was long and frightening. When I first met Tamo I thought he was a bit mysterious and odd, but I never for one minute thought that he would betray my family and hand me over to the people he claimed where after me. Then again, I didn’t really know much about him except that he was obsessed with me and was a superior magic teacher. Oh and that his parents were dead, other than that, he might as well had been a stranger—and yet for some strange reason, I felt hurt that he not only betrayed us, but was never on my side to begin with.
