It was dark. I could hear the waves splashing along the shore. I couldn’t remember anything other than the fact that we were instructed to use the life vests and just jump into the cold water before the whole aircraft disintegrates.
Fuck. I was going to die. I knew I was going to.
Jumping into the cold water must be the best decision at this time, but it’s only the best one out of the hundreds of worst ones. In short, it’s the best option among all the worst options. Either way, we are all still going to die of hypothermia.
