The barrier was quiet as Marek walked silently in search of his brothers in arms. The armour buckled to his chest suddenly felt tight as his chest expanded with each breath he took to steady himself for what he had to do. He held his sword out and away from his body with his left hand and a weird looking contraption he’d found amongst Keegan’s belongings with his right – it had a wooden handle and four curved metal rods with sharp points. Marek had asked himself what it could have been used for - fishing or as a flaying device. Either way it was serving his purpose. Marek held it firm and tight.
