Jack The crowing of a rooster wakes me up. I open my eyes and take in the dark morning. It’s almost seven am and pitch-black outside. I sigh and sit up. It’s going to be another long day. The smell of bacon and coffee wafts its way into my room. It’s been four months since Hope Springs was burned to the ground, and I defeated Deacon Sullivan to win Jupiter Moon. I ended up choosing to step down as the alpha of that pack. Luckily, Uncle Tom found a cousin to run the pack, and Dexter is doing a great job so far. I returned to Hope Springs to rebuild. Construction has come to a halt since it started snowing. What is left of the pack is currently living in temporary mobile homes and makeshift buildings.
