“Miranda Falkner says you sexually assaulted her last night,” Sheriff Daniels states, and my blood boils.
“Are you f*****g kidding me, Joe?” I blurt out angrily. “I didn’t rape her.”
“She said you did,” Sheriff Daniels responds. “And well, I don’t believe her. But you know I must investigate anyway. So, why don’t you come down to the station,” He gestures to his car.
“I don’t have time for that,” I complain. “I have to eat something and get back to training,” I explain.
“Just come down to the station, Jack,” Sheriff Daniels pleads. “You know I can’t give you special treatment.”
