Jack “Jack,” Her angelic voice calls to me. “Jack wake up,” she pleads. “Please wake up. You must save us, Jack.” “Jack,” A male voice calls out of the gloom as I feel someone shaking me, “Jack.” I open my eyes to Uncle Tom hovering over me. I blink as I stare at him in confusion. It takes several minutes for my memory to catch up. “Jack,” my uncle touches my forehead. I try sitting up, but he pushes me down. “Don’t move,” he tells me. “You have been injured pretty bad.” “What?” I shake my head and realize I am lying on a bed in a room I don’t recognize. The bed is raised so I can see the room. My uncle stands in front of me while my Aunt Mary and cousin are at the foot. “Where am I?” “You are at Battle Lake, son,” Uncle Tom responds.
