Georgia stood by the window long after Lucian’s car disappeared down the street. The house was quiet, only the soft hum of the air conditioner and the ticking of the clock filled the silence. The bouquet of lilies and roses lay on the table beside her. She stared at it for a while before picking it up, the soft scent brushing her face. “His sister,” she whispered to herself, shaking her head slightly. She still couldn’t believe it.
