The next morning came quiet and bright. Georgia woke up early, sunlight streaming through her curtains and landing softly on her bed. For a moment, she just lay there, staring at the ceiling. Yesterday had been long, and talking with her father had somehow lifted a weight off her chest. She pushed the covers aside and sat up, her feet touching the cool floor.
