Have you ever felt betrayed before? Felt like someone has been using you for their own benefit? They were only but manipulating you and taking your kindness as a sign of your weakness? This is what I'm feeling, i feel betrayed by my own best friend.
It was Lesley and now Lydia, the girl i had trusted so much, the girl i had put my trust in, i had confided almost everything in her, i took her in when no one else would, we did quite a lot of things together, we used to hang out together, we always had the girl's night out together, we would do sleep over's at my place and sometimes at her place,we would go for shopping together but i am still wondering why she would turn her back on me and betray me this much, she was my only friend, the only true friend i had since childhood, but now seems like i didn't have any luck when it came to choosing friends, Lesley lied to me she slept with my boyfriend and manipulated him into leaving me and here is Lydia, the only person who knew about my every move, she always knew my next steps and would sometimes give me advice, it was now making sense to me, never trust anyone even your best friend because your shadow also leaves you when in darkness.
"Lisa you have to see this!" Roy says as he runs back taking two two stairs at a time. He brings me back to earth from my reverie
"What!? What happened?"i ask alarmed
"You just come it's urgent" he says with a restless look, and judging from the way he's carrying himself around ,i can guess the situation is pretty bad.
"Okay I'm coming, Mike will you please stay with her i don't want her to leave"
"Okay Lisa ,she ain't going anywhere"
"Y'all hope so anyway watch me" Lydia says in a sarcastic tone and I only sneer as i follow Roy upstairs. I locked my room so there was no way she would access it, Roy's room is as he left it earlier in the morning but the other guestroom something seems unusual.
"What the hell!" I almost scream from the sight in front of me.
In the closet lies Alice's lifeless body,her throat is slit,her tongue is hanging out while her eyes are popping out,her face looks like those zombies i see in the movies,however did this might not be having any sense of humanity in him/her.
"What the f**k happened in here?" I ask no one in particular,i think I'm going to get sick,i suddenly feel the urge to puke and i rush to the washroom. As i wipe myself,i notice a figure lying in the bathtub,i walk towards it and I notice Mariana's body lying lifelessly in the already filled bathtub
"Ray! Come on in here,need some help" i call out his name and he comes almost immediately. He helps me remove her from the bathtub,we drain the water and he lies her on the door mat,i leave him while he still attending to her, because her pulse was still there and like Roy said she was gonna survive.
"Hey Mike are you still there?" I ask my voice shaking
"Yeah and please take care,this lady is not alone in here,i called for my guys to come here,they are on there way"
"I thought so too,one of my house helps was killed in a very mysterious way, this b***h is one hell of a person" i say and scrunch my nose at the thought of the sight i had just seen
"Whatever happens don't come downstairs i just found something"
"What did you find?" I ask my curiosity rising
"I gotta call you later please stay indoors with Roy" he says and hangs up
I try calling him but it goes straight to voicemail,i cuss and rush to where Roy is.
"Roy something is amiss" i say almost Immediately i open the door to where Roy is
"What is wrong Lisa?" He asks and turns his attention to me. He has done some first aid on her but she hasn't woken up.
"I just talked to Mike over the phone"
"And?"
"He has told me to tell you that we should stay upstairs unless he calls us because he thinks Lydia ain't alone"
"Phewks the day couldn't get any better"
"Yeah we should go to my room,it's more safe and secure"
"What about them?" He asks as he points at Alice whom he has already covered with the bedsheets, Mariana is okay but seems like she needs some rest.
"We should go with her, you have to help me carry her"
"Okay here let's go"
I help him carry Mariana and we place her on the couch in my room, one we sure everything is okay,i lock the door and we sit on the bed. I have the main system in my room, i watch everything through my room although it's a severe room no one knows about, i had Kenneth organise for it to be arranged, and being that my brother is around i see no big deal into showing him.
"Jeez siz you mean you have CCTV camera in these house?" My brother asks astonished
"Yes brother but you don't have to worry, i respect everyone's privacy so i don't usually connect them in the rooms,that will be like invading people's privacy, but i can still access them if i want to"
We're seated in in front of the computers, one thing I learnt was operating the machines, especially computers, i can crack codes and do everything on a computer. I run through the CCTV footage and one thing catches my attention, i see a guy with a mask talking to Lydia, she's seated on my living room couch giving out instructions.
"I already installed them ma'am" he says to her and she nods
"Great, did you do as i told you?"
"Yes ma'am, everything is in order"
"Great how many?"
"One at the min entry, in all the rooms, except hers we couldn't go through her door, since she is the only person that can access her room"
"b***h, but i still got her, so where else?"
"It's around the whole house ma'am, she can't escape this"
"Good, give me the activator,I'll be the one to switch it on no one else will" she says and the guys hands her a small hand activator for the explosives
"Jesus christ, we're all gonna die in here what a wicked witch she is" Roy laments but i can't let her win, not when she has betrayed me. I pick my phone and dial Mike's number, luck enough it rings twice and he picks it.
"Lisa I'm in the middle of something please can you call later, this b***h had a whole bunch of trained men to come and attack you" he says and i hear a gunshot in the background followed by a groan from another guy in the background
"Wait, i was to tell you about the activator, she has it, she's gonna blow this house up and we all gonna die"
"That has been taken care of, it was what I wanted to tell you when I called, now if you'll excuse me for now please, I'll get back to you"
"Okay if you need any assistance connect me on your talkies i can help you"
"How?"
"You just do that will explain to you later how" I say and hang up
"What did he say?" Roy asks immediately after i place the phone on the desk
"He has it"
"Phewks!thank goodness, that b***h should just go to hell who does that?"
"Apparently her, but i would really like to drive bullets in her thick skull, she really pisses me off, i told Mike to spare her for me, i wanna deal with her but before that I need to get answers from her"
"I would gladly do so if I was in your shoe" Roy says but before I can answer him, we hear someone coughing from my room
"Wait here i check that out" Roy says and takes his gun from the seat.
I watch as he heads out and i burry my face in my hands.
