The next day. Khrystel called me.
“Can I walk with you?”
“Sure! I will pass by your house anyway? Something wrong?”
“No. Just a break with guys.”
“Hahahaha...see you in a sec.”
I prepared my things and went to the kitchen to just eat cereals and milk.
“Good morning, honey.”
“Good morning, mom.”
“Ready for school?”
“Yup, Khrystel wants to walk with me.”
“Not his brother today, huh?”
“Nope, it’s girls' day today.”
“That’s cool.”
I talked to mom while finishing up my cereal. Then dad came before I was done.
“Good morning, princess.”
“Good morning, dad.”
I was placing my bowl on the sink to wash it off.
“Am I cooking today mom?”
“Would you like to?”
“Yeah, we can have a barbecue in the backyard later.”
“Okay, I will just give you money for the beef. Will Brad come along?”
