“Are you serious?” Were the only words I could get out of my mouth and Alex just smiled back at me with his stupid grin. I scowled at him, wanting to slap it off of his face, my anxiety already rising at the prospect of meeting his family. Yet at the same time, I was excited to see more of his life. Up until this point, I’d known him at school and I’d known him as Onyx, but I didn’t know much about him outside of that.
