“Alex, where are we going? It’s four in the morning!” I yelled, but pulled my pants on anyway. Whatever was going through his head, he seemed determined. Grabbing his backpack from the floor, he unzipped it and placed the Onyx stones gently inside. Swinging it over his back, he turned to me and I crossed my arms over my chest. If he thought I was going anywhere without an explanation at this time in the morning, he was in for a rude awakening. He gave me a cheeky grin, clearly seeing the sour look on my face. “Ready?” He asked and I pursed my lips in response, waiting. “Tiger, we’re going to my house, will you please just trust me?” He confessed and I instantly settled down. Surely this could have waited until morning, but considering both of us were already awake, now was as good of time
