Back Hometown: Hillside Town

Samantha woke up at 6 in the morning and got to smell a captivating aroma with her, hearing a sizzling noise, and later found that Medra was in the kitchen, and cooking something, Samantha seems to know the smell of the delicious meat that Medra was frying in the kitchen.

"Wow, Medra, isn't that Sumicorn Meat?" Samantha asked in amazement as she smell the flavorful and aroma of the Sumicorn meat gives off. Aside from the meat's original sweet and meaty smell when just cooked without additives, the perfect amount of herbs and spices that Medra added to the sumicorn meat peaked the delish aroma of it.

Samantha felt the eagerness of her tastebuds to have her first taste of a sumicorn meat that was seasoned.

Medra replied, "Master, I am sorry to cook so late before you wake up, this would just last for at least 3 minutes before the dish is ready,"

"No need to say sorry Medra, It's okay, I just woke up because I am captivated by the aroma of the sumicorn meat you are cooking," Samantha replied.

Samantha then went to the dining table and sat on one of the chairs and waited for the meal. Blueza and Pinko were also waiting for the food, a few minutes and Medra then served the food she cooked, and took some rice that she reheated since she cooked it earlier, the staff of the inn who also serve the free meals knock on their room's door, and Medra greeted the staff and took the food herself. They later started to eat their food, Blueza and Pinko do love metal snacks but they also loved to eat the Sumicorn Meat especially when the meat was seasoned well, they can't say no to it.

Samantha savor the meaty, sweet, vegi, herbs, and spices aroma of the Sumicorn first, Medra did not eat yet and was observing her master's reaction after tasting the food she cooked and served.

Samantha took a piece and forward her hand to her mouth. "Wowwww! Delicious! Amazing, you cook really good Medra! I say," Samantha muttered and was smiling as she reached the heavens of delicious food, Medra was overwhelmed by her master's praise of her cooking and was now determined to do her best every time she cook for her master.

"Thank you, Master, I appreciate your praise, and I will set myself to do my best with cooking delicious meals for you, Medra replied and also started to eat.

"I look forward to that Medra, and also, I wanted to observe you while at the process of mixing ingredients because I also do observe my mom before when she's cooking and hoping to learn more, and by that, I can finally cook myself with my mom's secret recipe," Samantha said with excitement in her tone.

Medra nodded in response to her master since her mouth's full of sumicorn meat.

They also eat the crab-like seafood, and Samantha did enjoy it too except for Medra and decided to cook the version she knew of it later as she saw her master enjoy eating those.

They eat everything served on the table after half an hour, and just got lemon juice and distilled water to drink.

After eating, Medra took the plates and glasses to the kitchen sink and started to wash them.

Samantha went to open the window of their room and saw that the town's started to get busy. It was a new day for them, and a start for another day of work.

Since Samantha got her plan for the day yesterday, all she needed to do now was to prepare herself, and for Medra, Blueza, and Pinko to be ready with their journey for the day.

Samantha took a bath for a moment, and occupied the comfort room, a few minutes and she went out from the comfort room and was already changed in her simple clothes.

Medra was sitting on the chair, and after Samantha finished taking her bath, she then told Medra to wash, and prepare for their journey.

A few minutes passed, and Medra was finished preparing herself and already changed herself before showing up herself.

Blueza and Pinko also prepared themselves, and a few moments passed by and all of them were completely prepared for the day.

Blueza and Medra hide in Samantha's shadow as they started to head outside their room, Medra made sure that they got nothing left, and after Medra's checking, Samantha followed by Medra then went to the front desk of the inn, and paid their balance fee of 1 gold coin and 2 silver coins, as the team will be heading in different town after they finish something in the town of Ligaya.

After settling everything, Samantha then went to the mission office of the town to do her report, Medra was waiting for her outside the premises as she can't enter the area, and still, Medra did not have her I.D card as a member of Samantha's Trust Circle squad which they will be processing later.

While Medra's waiting outside, Samantha was who was inside the mission office still got the same attention from the players who were present in the mission office of the town, and the guards were welcoming Samantha. The adult female guard of the town then assisted her report. She did the same process as what usually a report does which she needed to swipe her adventuring player identity card on the scanning device, and her mission documents then showed up. Samantha forgot to report the 5 low-leveled missions she took and decided to add those in her current report. After saying that she finished those tasks, Samantha then reported that the task to defeat the medusagon was completed already.

The guards were amazed but not shocked about such a report coming from a platinum player.

She then detailed her important urgent report.

"But as I did solve the problem, I did not kill the Medusagon, I befriended her, and right now she's my companion monster and she looks up to me as her master as she was the first individual to join my trust team," Samantha added after her report.

The guard's eyes widen and everyone who heard her words was shocked, though monsters can be tamed and joined in a player's trust party having a medusagon was quite shocking, considering that the race of medusagon was one of the strongest, and they were known to boost their strengths and dignity of not offering themselves to serve someone. The guards cannot do anything other than accepting what's real. Samantha then continued, " I was invited by the medusagon's father as she was the princess of the tribe leaders' only child but when we entered their town, Medra, my companion Medusagon did feel something strange in their village, and it was then that we started to head out from their village but the higher spectre demon that causing the oddity of things showed up,"

"Pardon me, Player Samantha-- a demon class higher specter is it?" The female guard asked.

"Yes, a demon class Higher Spectre, and was controlling the medusagon residents of the nearest Medusagon town, even the most powerful individuals, Medra's mother, and father was said to be controlled by the same culprit, the Higher Spectre Demon," Samantha replied.

"Thank you for the report Player Samantha, we will contact the main force to check up on the area, and estimate the task difficulty of the mission before we issue an official task for clearing the area," the guard replied.

"It's my job to report such a thing, no need for thanking me," Samantha replied.

Samantha told the guard to notify her if the mission's available as she wanted to take part in clearing it.

After that, Samantha was informed by the Guard that her previous base prize for defeating the Necromancer Lord that inhabited the town of Malaya increased a bit and that she can claim it already in any branch of the reward desk, which her 1,000 Gold coins increased to 1,100 Gold Coins, 1,000 silver coins that increased to 1,500, and 1,000 Bronze coins. 5 reward boxes, and the addition of 2 rare reward boxes. The 90 lucky points were increased to 100 lucky points which she can receive after claiming the reward herself at any branch of the reward desk office that suits her location. Aside from those, the combined reward from the 5 tasks that Samantha also cleared can be taken already as the rewards of those were prepared already. From those 5 tasks, she got 1,000 Gold Coins, 3,000 silver coins, and 5 reward boxes. This also grants her 50 lucky points, 10 points from each of the tasks.

Before leaving the mission office, Samantha asked the guard to mail her soon with the total cost of damage by Medra at the town of Aliw, to which the guards just nodded at her request and told her that they will be sent the data as soon as possible. Samantha also told the guard about what caused Medra to went mad, and requested that the man will be sanctioned with the corresponding case.

Samantha then went outside the premises, and gather with Medra who was patiently waiting for her.

Medra and Samantha then went to the transportation area, and have a service to take them back to Samantha's residency, the "Hillside Town".

Samantha decided before to head back to her residency first while waiting for the feedback of the report she relayed and her concern with the total damage Medra left at the town of Aliw since she feels like committed to it as she was now the master of Medra, the medusagon who did partly destroyed the town. She was also waiting for updates regarding the man who attacked Samantha without any justifiable reason as Medra did not want to harm others and just wanted to protect herself.

Samantha and Medra spent almost an hour in the transportation service as they head back to Hillside Town, Samantha's hometown.

It was then that they reached the gate to enter the Hillside Town. Samantha paid for Medra's fare, and they then exited the transportation service. The guards of the town seemed to know Samantha already, and that's something not to be bothered about as it was her residency but Medra was stopped, Samantha told the guards that Medra's her companion, and she paid for Medra's entrance pass to enter the Hillside Town.
