Letting go of Katie was the hardest thing I've ever had to do, but I'm finally starting to get over her. I had to cut her out of my life completely to do so, but once I did, every day got a little bit easier. Now that I'm no longer killing myself over her, I'm finally starting to enjoy my life here in Colorado.
The day after I got back from Chicago was my twenty-first birthday. I had every intention of spending it alone in a bar since my mom was working, but I ran into someone that quite honestly scared the living hell out of me at first. Asher Rhodes. He was intimidating as hell and not to mention, fresh out of prison. He pretty much fell in love with my mom the minute he saw her. That's when I realized he's just a huge, muscular, tattooed teddy bear.
