We walked for a good fifteen minutes, pretty much in silence. I wanted to make sure I didn’t miss out on any footsteps in case anyone came up behind us. So far, things seemed to be going well, maybe a little too well, as we haven’t come across anyone since we left my house. “You alright, Caleb?” I asked as he was getting a little slow. “Yes, I am doing OK, just slightly sore.” He said quietly. “We are only five minutes away now, so won’t be long,” I said enthusiastically. “Sure thing.” He groaned slightly. I didn’t want to walk too quickly as Caleb was hurting, but I didn’t want to get any slower. I wanted to get to my friend’s apartment, get a car and get us away from here. I slowed down and offered him my arm. He happily took it and gave me a grateful smile.
