Waves of electricity hit Ivanka instantly, each one crashing against her like a forceful lightening storm. Staring at Alaric right there in the elevator, holding his briefcase in one hand, while his neatly folded jacket hung over his elbow, gave her deep chills. From the look on his face, he was just as shocked to see her. Not just shocked. Hurt. They'd both been praying not to run into each other for the last couple of days, but apparently, the hospital had different plans for them.
