Ava and Uya hastily traveled north following Baron’s instructions. As long as they reach the surface, she can finally summon her Black Hole and they can escape safely, far away from those who are coming to chase them. She then looked back once more. She could no longer see Aegis. It was definitely camouflaged well, hidden perfectly in the deep. She wondered what had happened to Baron. She hoped he’d be fine even after helping them escape. Rosie and Octavio are respected higher ups of Aegis, she hopes that their authority can protect Baron in case he’s to be blamed for their escape.
“You’re worried.” Uya commented and gave her a hesitant smile.
Ava saw fear and worry deep inside her cousin’s eyes too. And so she sighed and gave her a small smile. “And so are you. Are you regretting this?”
