It has been four days, the couples have been sticking stringently to the schedule which is particularly grueling. It was made without considering the weather and a patch of unseasonal rain has soaked the ground. Wet wolves run kilometre after kilometre, their paws hitting the sticky mud, their legs getting heavier as the rain pours on their backs, they are not even half way through the task, yet it is really starting to take a toll. Lack of food, lack of sleep and the treacherous conditions proving difficult. The rain dampens the smell at the edge of pack lands, making it easy to run slightly off course and end up trespassing.
