Luna was eight years old when the academy proposed its first inter-pack tournament. The idea came from Kai, who'd been watching traditional pack competitions and thought the gifted students should have their own.
"We train all the time," he argued to the teachers. "But we never get to show what we can do. Not competitively. I think a tournament would be good for morale."
